David works in affiliation with A Quiet Revolution, a Humanist charity based in Scotland. Their key mission is to promote the values of Humanism by:
- Conducting meaningful personal ceremonies
- Gifting celebrant services through referrals from our charity friends
- Enriching our natural environment with tree planting and wildflowers
Planning Your Big day
David will guide you through every stage, to create a wedding ceremony that declares your love and commitment to each other in a personal and meaningful way to you. Seamlessly blending a mix of fun, humour love and emotion, to make your wedding day perfect.
Together we start with a blank page, talk and ask lots of questions about you as a couple, the type and style of ceremony would like and the any ideas you have for your big day.
3 easy steps
1) David will offer a quick ‘chemistry check’ on Zoom so you can ask basic questions and get a feel for him as a celebrant. No cost, no obligation. We will quote for our service, tell you about essential deadlines for legal paperwork and explain how we work.
2) If you choose to go ahead, we’ll schedule a planning meeting around 6 months before your wedding. This is when we get to know you and help you craft your unique wedding ceremony.
3) David will write a draft script and share that with you for comments. It’s very much your script, so don’t feel shy about making changes. We’d expect to bounce it back and forth two or three times before it’s finalised.
On The Day
David will be with you every step of the way, arriving bright and early to make sure everything is set up and liaise with others involved in the ceremony - eg venue team, musicians, photographer; checking in with you to make sure you are steady and happy; making sure the Marriage Schedule is correctly signed and left in safe hands for you to return to the Registrar.
All you have to do is turn up, look fantastic and enjoy!
