A service we are incredibly proud to be able to offer our families is the scattering their loved ones ashes at sea on the beautiful River Forth, under the iconic bridges.
Working in partnership with WetWheels Foundation Edinburgh and Edinburgh Marine Academy, we offer a very bespoke service where we take family and friends on a chartered boat, out under the bridges until we reach the ideal place to say goodbye to your loved one. Here we offer the opportunity to say a few words, with music playing as we gently place the pillow urn into the water to slowly float away.
Each trip can take up to 12 passengers and lasts approximately 1hr, however we are more than happy to discuss any specific requirements.
Wetwheels offers a unique opportunity for disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages - including those with multiple, profound and complex impairments - to access the water.
Central to our experience is active participation - helping to broaden aspirations, increase confidence and directly impact on health and wellbeing.experiences that you and your guests will cherish forever.
Wetwheels Edinburgh is one of the newest addition to the Wetwheels fleet, and her home is Port Edgar, situated just outside Edinburgh.
The foundation has scheduled trips and experiences, which can all be tailored to suit each individual and group. These experiences could include viewing the majestic UNESCO registered Forth Rail Bridge from the sea, meeting the seals and puffins on the local islands, or seeing the Naval Dockyard of Rosyth where the new aircraft carriers were constructed.
We always use biodegradable paper pillow urns, to give your loved one an emotional send off and a poignant moment for everyone to cherish.
