Saying goodbye on the water is a truly peaceful and meaningful way to honour a loved one. We are incredibly proud to offer families the opportunity to scatter ashes at sea on the beautiful Firth of Forth, beneath the iconic Forth bridges — a setting that feels calm, dignified and unforgettable.
Working in partnership with WetWheels Foundation Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Marine Academy - based at Port Edgar Marina in South Queensferry, we provide a fully supported and personalised experience. Your family and friends will travel together on a chartered boat with full disabled access, sailing under the bridges until we reach the ideal spot for your farewell.
Every ceremony can be tailored to your wishes. You may choose to say a few words, play music that feels meaningful, or simply take a quiet moment together as the biodegradable urn is placed into the water to drift peacefully away.
Our ashes-scattering trips run from March to October, last around one hour, and can accommodate up to 12 passengers. We are always happy to discuss any specific requirements to ensure the ceremony feels just right for you and your family.

Wetwheels offers a unique opportunity for disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages - including those with multiple, profound and complex impairments - to access the water.
Central to our experience is active participation - helping to broaden aspirations, increase confidence and directly impact on health and wellbeing.experiences that you and your guests will cherish forever.

Wetwheels Edinburgh is one of the newest addition to the Wetwheels fleet, and her home is Port Edgar, situated just outside Edinburgh.
The foundation has scheduled trips and experiences, which can all be tailored to suit each individual and group. These experiences could include viewing the majestic UNESCO registered Forth Rail Bridge from the sea, meeting the seals and puffins on the local islands, or seeing the Naval Dockyard of Rosyth where the new aircraft carriers were constructed.
We always use biodegradable paper pillow urns, to give your loved one an emotional send off and a poignant moment for everyone to cherish.
